Does Smoking Cause Hair Loss?

If you’re like most people, you may be looking at your hairline or scalp and attempting to self diagnose your hair loss. What most people don’t realize is that a healthy lifestyle may significantly contribute to the overall health of your body, and that includes your hair.  With all the research over the past few decades, everyone is aware that smoking leads to countless systematic problems with your health so why would your hair be included in this?
The truth is smoking is probably the worst habit anyone could have. If you smoke, you are damaging nearly every organ in your body including your hair. That’s right, smoking not only causes cancer, but it may also cause hair loss too. Smoking may cause hair loss because it reduces the circulation to the extremities, it can cause pollutants in the blood, which affect the liver. And it can also cause minor clogging of the scalp’s pores.
