New Years Hair Resolutions

The New Year brings a time for new changes. A time to reinvent yourself by creating goals and objectives to achieve for the year. It drives the motivation to stick with that change and become it. For most people, common New Year's resolutions include: exercising more, losing weight, learning a new skill, being a better person, etc. But what about your hair? Your hair can often get put on the back burner when it comes to achieving our New Year's resolutions, so why not incorporate some for your hair this year? Below are three New Year's hair resolutions to make sure you're off to a good start this year:

1. Have fun with your hair
Daily routines can make you get stuck in a rut with your hair. You're used to the usual. Wake up, get ready, throw your hair in a ponytail, go about your day, repeat. We keep wearing the same length and hairstyle for years because we're comfortable. Being comfortable prevents us from branching out and switching things up. On your downtime, take time to look up new hair styles or learn how to style your hair differently. Maybe go a little shorter than you usually would at your next hair cut. Incorporating hair accessories is also a good way to change things up. Whatever you decide, just have fun with it!

2. Maintain the situation
Laziness can be a disease sometimes and our hair is usually a victim to it. Just think: How many times have you gone longer than you should for that next hair cut, or skipped out on buying quality products for your hair? Well, this year one resolution is to be better about your hair regimen. If you're the kind the person that enjoys routine, taking the time to add in an additional two minute hair routine will save you time and money in the long run. Invest in well- reviewed deep conditioners that you can easily apply after or during a shower, or treat yourself to a once-a-week hair mask. Get yourself on a hair schedule and keep to it. Proper nutrition is also an easy, natural way to get thicker, healthy hair. Hair supplements, vitamins, or just eating your greens will help your hair grow and maintain its health. 3. Try something new
It may be time to try something new. Most of us don't realize that our hair is so delicate, that once the damage is done it may be too far gone. When it comes to this, no amount of curling and styling will help your case. Seek out professional help. New England Associates provides hair rejuvenation, replacement, or restoration options that will address your hair concerns. Each person has a unique hair situation and requires a different approach. Take the time to schedule an appointment and find a program that will be tailored to your individual needs. You won't regret it.
