Spring Cleaning Your Scalp

Image
Good scalp hygiene is important all year round but it is extra important in the spring, summer, and fall when we tend to sweat more. Many don’t realize that our scalp is just like the skin on our face and can benefit from a good deep cleansing. Apple cider vinegar is one homemade way of doing this because its acid can remove sebum and buildup accumulated from sweat and styling products and shampoos.

If you are worried about your head smelling like a salad, you can use HairStart® Dexpanthenol™ Scalp Therapy instead. It is designed to dissolve sebum so topical medications such as Minoxidil can be better absorbed into the scalp, but it is also helpful when you want to rid your scalp of residues and excess perspiration.

If you have questions about any damage that such buildups can be doing to your hair, meet with a hair expert at New England Associates® and have a hair and scalp examination performed to see it for yourself under a microscope.

At New England Associates®, how you feel about your hair, and making the right choice to solve any problems, matters. We encourage you to take the time and review the possibilities and come in for our no-cost, no-obligation private consultation.
