This November Men are Growing Hair for a Cause!

November is the month for men to take a stand and tackle the biggest health concerns men face daily. There are two separate foundations that in support of men’s health, are generating a lot of popularity for their unique ways to raise awareness. 

The Two Foundations

No-Shave November is a foundation most men may be familiar with. The goal is to have men give up shaving for an entire month to grow, and groom if preferred, a moustache and beard to raise awareness for men affected by cancer. The money that goes into hair maintenance should then be donated for the cause. This call-to-action stimulates conversation in an effort to get more men checked and treated for cancer.

Movember, a combination of the words “November” and “moustache”, is a foundation aimed at tackling the biggest health issues that men battle. To participate, men have to grow and groom a mustache for the entire month of November. The mustache is the symbol of hope and bravery as men raise awareness for health issues like mental health, suicide, testicular and prostate cancer.  Just like No-Shave November, the funds that go into hair maintenance should then be donated for the cause.

How Women Can Participate
