Laser Hair Therapy Worked for Lisa

It’s never too late to stop your thinning hair from breaking or falling out. At New England Associates®, we are dedicated toward helping you find a solution to restore more than just your hair. We are committed toward helping you regain your confidence and transform you into the joyful person you are meant to be.

Check out Lisa's video above to see how she feels after receiving Laser Hair Therapy. This non-surgical procedure emits low-level laser energy onto your entire scalp. The low-level lasers reinvigorate your dormant hair follicles to increase cellular activity and blood circulation. This reactivation process increases the production of nutrients, removal of waste and degeneration of hormones, such as Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), that causes hair loss in both women and men.

Laser Hair Therapy has been clinically proven to be safe and provide effective results for clients, like Lisa, who find themselves suffering from thinning and breaking hair. Laser Hair Therapy is FDA approved.

Lisa schedule a hair and scalp analysis after noticing that her hair was severely thinning 10 years ago. Unaware of her hair and scalp condition, Lisa scheduled her first consultation, free of charge, at a hair restoration facility, like New EnglandAssociates®.  In her complimentary, private consultation, Lisa was given a hair and scalp analysis that determined her scalp condition and the procedure that suited her best. Her analysis showed that Laser Hair Therapy was the procedure that could fortify her hair and stop it from thinning and breaking.

The results speak for themselves. Lisa noticed that her hair was growing in just a few months! She and her husband couldn’t be happier for how well Lisa’s Laser Hair Therapy turned out.

No matter how long you’ve waited or the condition of your hair, New England Associates® is here to help you restore your hair for the long run. Visit us at www.hairstart.com or call us at 1-866-HairStart to schedule your free hair and scalp analysis. Don’t wait any longer. Look As Good As You Feel™ now!

This November Men are Growing Hair for a Cause!

November is the month for men to take a stand and tackle the biggest health concerns men face daily. There are two separate foundations that in support of men’s health, are generating a lot of popularity for their unique ways to raise awareness.

The Two Foundations

No-Shave November is a foundation most men may be familiar with. The goal is to have men give up shaving for an entire month to grow, and groom if preferred, a moustache and beard to raise awareness for men affected by cancer. The money that goes into hair maintenance should then be donated for the cause. This call-to-action stimulates conversation in an effort to get more men checked and treated for cancer.

Movember, a combination of the words “November” and “moustache”, is a foundation aimed at tackling the biggest health issues that men battle. To participate, men have to grow and groom a mustache for the entire month of November. The mustache is the symbol of hope and bravery as men raise awareness for health issues like mental health, suicide, testicular and prostate cancer.  Just like No-Shave November, the funds that go into hair maintenance should then be donated for the cause.

How Women Can Participate

Though, both foundations focus on having men participate for the cause, women can join as well. There is no need for women to grow real facial hair, but many women can sport a faux moustache in support of the cause and help by donating as well.  *Photo Courtesy of us.movember.com

The Side Effects of Cancer

For both foundations, prostate cancer is one of the most deadly diseases men can battle. It is the second most common cause of death in men. According to Movember.com, 35 men die every hour because of prostate cancer.  Like any type of cancer, prostate cancer offers the treatment option of chemotherapy, with a resulting side effect that causes hair loss amongst men. From thinning hair to baldness, hair loss for men can be a traumatic event.

At New England Associates®, we provide hair loss solutions to men and women who suffer from hair loss, no matter what the cause. With over 30 years of experience, time is always on our side. We have the latest FDA approved technology and trained professionals committed to making you Look As Good As You Feel!™ Each procedure is tailored to each client. From follicular unit hair transplant to non-surgical hair grafting and HairStart® Laser Hair Therapy, New England Associates® guarantees a solution to help restore your hair and reclaim your confidence.

Ways to Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved and spread the word about men’s health month. To get involved or donate, visit No-Shave November and Movember. Learn about each foundation, read real-life stories and get informed.

For Men: Long Hair Styles are Back!

New England Associates® Can Give You The Hair You Want

Men all over are making it known that long hair doesn’t just define a woman, it can also define a man. From the iconic man bun to a messy do, here are the top-5 hairstyles trending this year.

The Mid-Length Bad Boy

Chris Hemsworth’s side-parted hairstyle gives you the edgy, rough look you’ve been waiting for. Just like the Thor actor, you too can look like a tough and charming superhero.

The Long Tail

Anyone thinking about dying their grey hairs should take a look at Sean Connery. The famous Scottish actor embraces his natural grey hairs and shows that growing older can be done with style. This pulled back hairstyle is casual and convenient for any occasion.

Long Top/Short Sides

This could be the most popular hair style for men of the year. David Beckham is modeling it to perfect here. When your hair is longer on top, you have the ability to style it up or slicked back.

The Gold Split
Jared Leto’s hair parted down the middle may be ordinary, but the touch of gold on his tips make a fashion statement. At 44, Leto makes it known that men over 40 like himself can be stylish and still hold on to their masculinity.

The Slick Back
At just 40 years old, Colin Farrell never looked so good. His slick back hair-do is charming yet manly.

There is no doubt that hair makes an enormous difference to your outward appearance and, most importantly, your inner confidence. Hair is a valuable asset. You don't need to settle for that bald spot or those thinning hairs! There are various ways to restore your hair and regain your confidence, with New England Associates®!

What Your Hair Says About You and Your Health

Every day, we naturally lose around 50 - 100 strands of hair. What most people don’t realize is how much scientists can reveal about a person just based on one of those hairs. Forensic scientists that specialize in hair use their skills to often help piece together clue to solve crimes. Recovered hair samples can even help uncover facts about our early ancestors. Our hair is an extension of ourselves. What we go through, it goes through.

Based on the isotopes in a person’s hair, it can reveal the type of diet that you follow. Scientists can tell if you eat meat and, if you do, they can tell if you prefer fish to chicken or beef, are vegan or vegetarian or if you haven’t eaten in some time. Based on your diet, your hair can represent your overall health. If you aren’t getting enough nutrients and vitamins in your body, your hair will reflect that, both microscopically and with the naked eye.

There are obvious visual traits or indicators about your hair that any layperson can pick-up on without a microscope, to formulate a perception of you. Often times your hair can give away your age or different medical conditions can cause hair loss or thinning hair which can cause a person to appear unhealthy. Alternatively, a thick and full head of hair may send a message to some people that you are a strong, youthful person, with good genetics. In a way, it's almost like a giant billboard sitting on top of our heads, informing others of what they can expect from us.

Ultimately, YOUR hair affects how YOU feel about yourself and your confidence is often the biggest factor in how you present yourself to others. If you feel good about your appearance and your hair, your smile will reveal that you are full of confidence and ready to take on the world. New England Associates® can help allow your hair to reveal the right things about you. For those experiencing thinning hair or hair loss, your options at  New England Associates®  include everything from hair transplants to non-surgical treatments like Laser Hair Therapy and Hair Grafting. You can maintain your new hair with HairStart® products rich in essential vitamins and minerals to help keep your hair appearing full and healthy.

Your Consultation Experience at New England Associates

Deciding to do something about your hair loss can be a big decision. That is why New England Associates® has always offered complimentary consultations. These private consultations often provide answers for those struggling with thinning hair or growing bald spots. The cause of a client's hair loss can typically be determined and solutions are then presented.

Some clients may  feel shy, cautious, or already defeated when they first arrive for their free consultation at New England Associates®. They've already tried over the counter treatments with little to no results. Others feel empowered, relieved, and ready to make a significant change to their appearance. Whatever their mindset may be, every client is treated with the same care, courtesy, and respect as the hundreds of others that New England Associates® has worked with over the past 34 years.

Your free consultation includes a microscopic hair and scalp evaluation. The goal is to assess the current state and cause for your hair loss problem. It could be typical male or female pattern baldness that has been inherited or something like the type of medications a client has been taking. After a cause is determined, a hair restoration specialist will discuss with the client their available options. Each client's unique situation is taken into consideration. Age, health, and of course the client's own desires, are all important factors that the hair restoration specialists at New England Associates® will use to create the perfect hair restoration plan going forward. Do not worry - there is no pressure and no obligation.

New England Associates® offers everything from hair transplants and laser therapy to HairStart® products that can be used at home, offering ongoing help in re-growing hair or improving the existing hair's condition. A non-medical procedure like Hair Grafting may be the best option in some cases. In that case, real human hair is grafted directly onto the client's scalp, allowing for the client to have exactly the hair they have always wanted, including style and color. Like any other natural hair, clients will always have the option to cut or style it differently later on as well.

The decision to make a change in your life may be difficult, but explore your options. Your free consultation and answers to your hair loss are available to you. Click here to contact New England Associates® and ask any questions or request a free "Look as Good as You Feel" ™ kit, to inform you further into the process of how hair restoration is possible at New England Associates®.

If you’re ready to say goodbye to hair loss, please visit our website at www.HairStart.com or call 1-866-HairStart to schedule a no-cost/no-obligation microscopic hair & scalp evaluation and discuss what procedures are right for you!

Hair Restoration Worked for Nancy

Sometimes clients are so pleased with the results of their hair restoration procedure that they proudly share their stories with us in the hopes that other individuals suffering the effects of hair loss might be inspired to find their own solution. Nancy is one of these happy clients and she hopes you will relate to her story as well.

"My hair started gradually getting thinner and thinner and finally it was to the point where you   really couldn’t do very much with it at all." - Nancy

After seeing some disappointing vacation photos of herself, Nancy decided to finally address her hair loss situation. Like many people, Nancy's first instinct was to cover it up with different hair styles or trying out new brushing methods, but found little results. The problem could not be hidden or disguised.

"There's only so much you can do with it….it just looks thin." - Nancy

Nancy then took advantage of a free consultation with a hair restoration expert to learn about her options. After evaluating Nancy's hair and scalp, she was presented with multiple choices, but ultimately chose a hair replacement system that would give her both the natural appearing results she had hoped for along with the ability to change the style however she pleased.

"It makes me feel more feminine and prettier. I can assure you that with my natural hair I did not have that feeling." - Nancy

Thanks to her remarkable results Nancy continues to an advocate for Hair Restoration. To see her full interview, click here.

We recommend consulting with a hair restoration expert for your hair loss, just as Nancy did. Utilizing physician-directed treatment programs, New England Associates® offers clinically-proven methods to stop hair loss for Men and Women and to regrow your own existing hair.

At New England Associates® you will find every successful method that effectively stops hair loss and repairs, replaces, restores or regrows lost hair. Hair Loss Awareness Month

August is National Hair Loss Awareness Month, to inform those who are unaware and to comfort those who are suffering from hair loss. At New England Associates® we care about our clients and want to give them all of the knowledge and resources available to be able to combat hair loss.

People of all ages, ethnicity and health situations can suffer from hair loss. It is important to remember that you should not be ashamed if you are experiencing hair loss. It is more common than many people think and there are endless options to help fight it.

Men and women are both effected by hair loss, contrary to popular belief. Studies have shown that women make up 40% of hair loss sufferers. As many as 85% of men will have significant hair loss by the age of 50 and some loose hair starting at age 21.

Male Hair Loss Causes

The most common type of hair loss that men experience is male pattern baldness, which is genetic. Some other common causes include: medical conditions, diet, stress and hormones. If you are not getting all the nutrients that your body needs, your hair may be affected by it. Stress also has an effect on hair loss. Too much testosterone can also affect your hair follicles and hair growth stages.

Female Hair Loss Causes

Like men, women suffer from hair loss, including female pattern baldness, which can present itself in different ways. Women may not see the hair loss at the hair line but at the crown of the head. If you notice that the width of your ponytail is getting smaller in diameter, that could be a sign of hair loss. Hair styles that pull on your hair, can often cause hair breakage and damage. Other common hair loss causes include some birth control, ovarian cysts, pregnancy, and menopause.

If you are experiencing hair loss it could be attributed, but not limited to, the causes that we just described. However, just because you are suffering from hair loss does not mean that there aren’t solutions. At New England Associates® we are committed to having you Look As Good As You Feel™. We offer a variety of options ranging from surgical to non-surgical, along with a line of hair products that can be used alone or in addition to a treatment to promote more hair growth.

We offer solutions catered to the different needs of each individual. You can receive hair transplants, hair replacement with treatments like Hair Grafting, and Laser Therapy with our Hair Start® program, among many other options.

If you are dealing with hair loss, it is important to know that you are not alone and are not without options. We are committed to helping you get your confidence back. If want to learn more about the treatments we offer or what options are best for you, you can come in for your free hair and scalp analysis. To schedule your no-cost/no-obligation microscopic hair & scalp consultation, you can visit our website at www.hairstart.com or call 1.866.HairStart.

Summer Hair Care: Keep Your Hair Healthy All Summer Long

Most people are very conscious of their skin while in the sun, they apply sunscreen and bring cover ups to block the UV rays, and even protect their eyes by making sure they have sunglasses or a hat. But what about your hair? The sun, chlorine, and saltwater can have damaging effects on your hair. But no worries, we have some tips and tricks to help make sure you keep your hair luscious and healthy all summer long.

Frizzy Hair
Being out in the sun for extended periods of time allows the summer heat to soak up all the moisture from your hair. As soon as you walk out into any sort of humidity your hair will soak up any moisture it can, leaving you with frizzy locks of hair. Don’t forget that after a long day in the sun you need to moisturize your hair as well, not just your skin. There are many products like NEA Protein Spray that help protect your hair from looking frizzy or even a product that is especially designed for after a day in the sun like NEA Conditioning Mist.

Shield Your Hair From The Sun
Going to the beach, out on the boat, or to the pool? Grab a hat on the way out. You can protect your hair and face at the same time. It’s a simple yet effective option to keep your hair healthy. And try a sunscreen for your hair, one that conditions as well as help maintain your style like NEA Conditioning Glaze.

After Swimming Protection
After getting back from spending a day in the saltwater or in a pool with chlorine, it’s best to wash out that excess water as soon as you can. Take a shower and wash your hair thoroughly to make sure everything is washed out. It's best to use a gentle cleanser that helps remove minerals and chlorine from your hair like NEA Phase IV. You can apply a leave in conditioner like Conditioning Mist or any other type of moisturizing serum if you want to ensure your hair is hydrated.

Getting a Summer Trim
During the spring and summer a lot of your hair follicles are in the anagen or growth stage, so you hair is growing at a faster rate than in the winter. Getting your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks could keep your hair healthy and make sure that you are split-end free.

Stop the Heat
Try not to put any more heat on your hair than it’s already getting from the sun. It may be best to stay away from the hot hair tools and go with no-heat styling options. If you are used to blow drying your hair you could let it air dry instead. If you are looking to curl your hair you can braid it while it’s wet and sleep on it over night for beachy waves or twist up 1-inch strands and bobby pin them to your head. The next day you can take them out and you will have pretty curls that didn’t take any heat.

Don’t let your hair stop you from having a great time this summer. You can take some steps to help lessen the damage of the sun. If New England Associates® has restored your confidence again by giving you beautiful hair, don’t let the summer sun take that away. At New England Associates®, you will have the opportunity to meet with one of our expert specialists who will answer any questions you may have with the most current information on hair loss and treatment alternatives.

If you are concerned about the current state of your hair, New England Associates® has many treatment options that can help you. They range from non-surgical to surgical such as hair transplants, laser hair therapy, and Hair Grafting. These summer hair care tips will only strengthen your already impressive results.

You can come in for your FREE microscopic hair and scalp analysis where your specific hair loss and scalp condition will be evaluated. Each patient has a unique hair loss pattern and situation that requires a unique approach to restoring or replacing the lost hair. Some procedures are medical, some are surgical and others are not. If you feel the program suggested is not the best fit for you and your needs, you are under no obligation to proceed. At New England Associates® the options are many and the choices are yours!

Chris Found His Answer to Hair Loss at New England Associates

Men—are you experiencing hair thinning or hair loss? New England Associates® has several options for you. With over 34 years of experience in the hair restoration industry, at New England Associates® we know what it’s like for men to lose their hair. We know that men of all ages can experience hair loss and we know that it can happen for a multitude of reasons. Fortunately, we also know how to combat these problems by providing you with a hair loss alternative that is tailored specifically to your needs and expectations as a patient.

In past times, men who were genetically predisposed towards hair loss might have had to settle with shaving their head. Today, they may be able to maintain their hair and keep it in a healthier condition. At New England Associates®, we offer successful options to slow/stop hair loss and help regrow, restore or replace hair. Some clients have hesitations concerning hair replacement procedures. Here, Chris offers some reassurances for men considering hair loss alternatives.

One of the first concerns for men and women considering a hair loss alternative is the authenticity of the look they will have afterwards. “I think that most men think that this is going to look fake. I just couldn’t be happier with the results that I have achieved and I think it’s achievable for any man.” New England Associates® understands and addresses this concern up front with their complimentary hair and scalp examination as part of your free consultation.

During your hair and scalp examination we examine your hair loss and determine how significant it is. If your hair loss is in its early to middle phases, we encourage men to first attempt to slow/stop the hair loss they’re experiencing and simultaneously grow their hair if possible. New England Associates® utilizes this approach combining scientifically proven products and devices that according to the International Journal of Cosmetic Surgery & Aesthetic Dermatology can increase your hair by up to 93 percent. For men who have already experienced a significant amount of hair loss, follicular unit surgical procedures or non-surgical hair grafting are excellent options. All surgical options are performed by professional physicians who perform hair restoration procedures that result in real growing hair.

When asked how he was treated by the staff, Chris had this to say. “They care that you’re going to look great when you walk out. If you have a need to come back in for a touch up, they are very accommodating and will gladly accept you back in because they want you to look good.”

Utilizing the newest technology available today, the professionals at New England Associates® are here to help you Look As Good As You Feel! ™. When asked what Chris might say to others, he replied “If I were a guy with thinning hair and it was bothering me, I would definitely make an appointment to consult with someone knowledgeable about hair loss. Ultimately, you may not do anything, but at least you know what your options are.” At New England Associates® the options are many and the choices are yours!

When you visit New England Associates® for a complimentary consultation, all of your questions will be answered by our expert staff. During this consultation, you may view actual before and after pictures of clients who have had similar services performed and discuss the procedures that interest you most. The initial process of any procedure can be started right away if you choose.

You will find your experience at New EnglandAssociates® to be a rewarding and positive one as all New England Associates® staff members deliver friendly and personalized service. Contact New England Associates® at http://www.newenglandassociates.com/contact_us.htm or call us at 1.866.HairStart to schedule your complimentary consultation today and take your first step to a better looking future!

Laser Hair Therapy Worked for Joyce

Sometimes our clients are so pleased with the results of their hair restoration procedure that they proudly share their stories with us in the hopes that other individuals suffering the effects of hair loss might be inspired to find their own solution. Joyce, an actual Laser Hair Therapy client, shared her success story.

Joyce’s hair loss began as a result of her body producing too little thyroid hormone, a condition otherwise known as Hypothyroidism. Too little thyroid hormone affects the body’s natural ability to control the way it uses energy and can leave one feeling tired and weak. Although people of any age can develop hypothyroidism, older women are more likely to be at risk. Joyce, aware of her condition, noticed she was experiencing extensive hair loss and was ready for something to be done to change that.

Joyce sought a free consultation and was helped to understand the uniqueness of her needs. While most women experience some form of hair loss in the front of the hairline and top of the scalp, Joyce’s hair loss was predominantly in the back. The hair restoration experts recommended the Laser Hair Treatment Program.

When asked what others have said about her results, Joyce commented that her husband continues to be amazed at the improvement in her hair. Thanks to her remarkable results Joyce is an advocate for the program.

We recommend consulting with a team of hair restoration experts for your hair loss, just as Joyce did. Utilizing physician-directed treatment programs, New England Associates® offers clinically-proven methods to stop hair loss and regrow your own existing hair. We can combine innovative laser technology with physician strength medical remedies including Minoxidil, Saw Palmetto and herbal Propecia products to successfully prevent hair loss. Laser Hair Therapy is an effective non-surgical hair loss solution that both men and women with thinning or damaged hair can benefit from.

At New England Associates® you will find every successful method that effectively stops hair loss and repairs, replaces, restores or regrows lost hair. If you are interest in improving the health and density of your hair, contact New England Associates® at 1-866-HairStart and schedule a FREE microscopic hair and scalp analysis today to find a hair loss solution that is the perfect fit for you and your needs.

Hair Transplants: Do They Really Work?

At New England Associates® we can help you Look As Good As You Feel!™ with a variety of clinically-proven surgical and non-surgical hair restoration procedures. Many people with certain types of hair loss may benefit from surgical restoration and hair transplantation but patients are sometimes concerned about the results they are promised. Successful hair transplantation depends on a multitude of factors including a patient’s age, the amount of donor hair available and their goals and expectations. We hope the following information will put any prospective clients’ concerns at ease.

The first step of any hair restoration procedure is diagnosis of the patient’s condition based on the unique set of circumstances surrounding his or her hair loss. At New England Associates®, our relaxed and comfortable atmosphere allows us to provide professional private consultations with easy-to-understand information regarding the patient’s hair loss and the choices available to them. Each person has a unique hair loss pattern and situation that requires a different approach towards restoring their lost hair. At New England Associates®, the options are many and the choices are yours! Your hair restoration procedure, hair transplantation or otherwise, is your decision and it should be based on the facts.

Fortunately, modern science has revolutionized the way clinics perform hair transplants, no longer relying on the traditional cornrow method that would leave a patient with “pluggy”, unnatural looking results. So YES, they really can work. Currently, a hair transplant can be performed by harvesting DHT (or Dihydrotestosterone) resistant hair from the back of one’s scalp and then transferring it to areas of thinning or damaged hair or balding areas. This DHT-resistant hair is genetically programmed to continue growing in the recipient area even in the worst cases of male pattern baldness, with the exception of men who suffer from diffuse pattern baldness. Men with diffuse pattern baldness are recommended an alternative hair loss solution such as HairStart® Laser Hair Therapy because there is no guarantee that hair transplanted from a patient with diffuse pattern hair loss will continue to grow.

There are a few additional factors that increase the success of a hair transplant. One of these factors is hair density. Patients with naturally more dense hair will see more promising initial results. Hair density is the number of hair follicles you have per square centimeter of scalp. Scalp laxity is the looseness and flexibility of the scalp. More grafts of hair can be transplanted when the patient has both a high hair density and high scalp laxity.

The direction of hair grafts also affects your visual coverage. Coarser hair is bulkier and can be transplanted using a smaller number of grafts since it provides more coverage of the scalp. Fine hair has less body and can provide a very natural look but less coverage than coarse hair. Wavy and curly hair lends itself to great visual results during transplantation because a single wavy or curly hair can cover more area of the scalp than a straight hair. In addition, curly hair rises from the scalp and holds it shape resulting in greater coverage. Many people with various types of hair loss may benefit from hair transplantation and our professionals at New England Associates® would be happy to discuss the options available to you.

At New England Associates®, you will have the opportunity to meet with your physician who will answer any questions you may have with the most current information on hair loss and treatment alternatives. We will perform a FREE microscopic hair and scalp analysis where your specific hair loss and scalp condition will be evaluated. In addition, you may be given the opportunity to meet with actual hair transplant patients in various stages of their procedures. Before and after pictures are important, but we encourage you to meet with as many patients in-person as possible. We are confident you will be impressed with others’ results as well as your own.

If you’re ready to say goodbye to hair loss, please visit our website at www.HairStart.com or call 1-866-HairStart to schedule a no-cost/no-obligation microscopic hair & scalp exam to diagnose the cause of your hair loss problem and discuss which procedures are right for you!
